    Reading that TFT Central site is enough to put you off most monitors as they almost all seem to need a very expensive calibration device to do what they ought to do out of the box - show a reasonable relationship to true colours. And these are mostly expensive ones.

    Buying 2nd hand monitor from a safe source (not ebay) is relatively safe. Sorry for calling you poor, but glad you took it in a light hearted way (which was the intention of my post)

    Even if you calibrate yourself (i.e. not professionally, it will still look much better than TN - especially because of the viewing angles).

    The biggest disadvantage with a good panel is that it gives you less time to close the pr0n when your parents walk in
