I wouldn't get 12gb, if anything would hamer the memory overclock or affect the cpu overclock as the memory controller will have to work harder. As for cooling the RAM it isn't likely to overheat, it only runs at 1.5-1.65V normally which uses much less power than DDR2, and you don't see that overheat

Ebayer's always send as gifts, such as my 965 chip (I did not ask for it to be sent like that, I was expecting some fees to pay when it landed at my doorstep) and my 965 cost me £500 from the US (as much as the 940 cost when I got it near xmas). Couldn't resist upgrading when I saw that, and now I love my system more than ever
