    260 GTX is quieter, more efficient and faster in most stuff than a 4850.

    That said.. a 4870 is pretty darn quick too... but I'd have a 260 GTX.

    Despite the fact that you own the 4870? Can I ask why?
    The 512MB HD4870 is a little ahead of the GTX260 192, it's more even between the HD4870 1GB and GTX260 216, but I wouldn't say the 260 has any serious advantages except in the obvious nvidia-biased titles like Crysis and Cryostasis.

    Why not get a HD4770 ? much cheaper, more power efficient, very quiet and only 5% slower than HD4850.

    For the price you could even get 2 and crossfire!
