The Q6700 used to be the QX6700 as it was the fastest Quad core CPU out back then, hence being an extreme edition. it was later cut back to the Q6700 when the QX6850 came out.

I perhaps should have read the rest of the thread. A Q8400 is about the same price and would probably be a better bet.

meh the Q6700 will be fine, ive had my Q6600 @ 4Ghz on air (albeit it idling at 50c :O) I run it at stock now though. Also you shouldnt need to overclock it seen as yours is faster than mine
