Ok i looked over the g15 again and its growing on me alot, found it for £45 and my mates got one and he highly recommends it(didnt know he had one!) and so i will probs go with that. Any cons on the g15?
It's vast, and only orange. Other than that, it's meant to be among the better keyboards. £45 eh? It was £65 at Scan when I looked a month ago.
I fancied getting the Ideazon MERC, basically because it had dedicated FPS buttons to replace WASD and so on.
Having said that, given that it's £55 and absolutely enormous (I really don't have the space to have anything bigger than a standard Dell keyboard), I think I might end up getting the Wolf King as an alternative.
At least there you get a perfectly good typing keyboard (i.e. Dell), and then when necessary you swap over to the gaming board, and can move between the two as often as you want. You still get the improved FPS layout, with similar number of keys to the MERC, and of course after you set your bindings it's interchangeable with a normal keyboard if it suits.
I think Zak has finally converted me *gulp*.
YEAH BABY
On a serious note, it's having rapid access to the number keys AND F keys around the peripheral that I first liked, but now I'm totally comfortable with it, I find having so many keys at the lower half bloody useful too. In CoD4 and 5 I found it usefull to knife people rapidly with a thumb button, but cos it has to be totally intuitive, and I have space as JUMP in most games, I found that with the Wolf King I could also have two other buttons to slam with my thumb.
Volume is useful and so is Escape key. I love it. I'd happily buy them for everyone if I were a millionaire!
