Angry damn & blast it.. >:-(

right. Installed me 9800 today.. all fine.... everythings up and running... and what's this?? sound only in left ear... "bum clouds" I think to myself.. another headset down the pan. Plug in the speakers..... same thing.. aaarrrggghhhh!! looks like the blummin jack on the mobo has come loose or something all I need tbh - maybe it didn't like me having a spizzy gfx card so it threw a wobbly with the sound... re-installed the drivers, thinking that would sort it.. not a chance . Not happy.. gonna have to have a proper look tonight.

cos thats whatI HAD TO DO onmy new Revoultion 7.1 Sound card when i PUSHED THE HEADPHONE PLUG IN and found it was too wide for all the other plugs in the sound card, hence pushing it in at about 30 degree angle and shafting my brand new card

I have a few spare soundblaster 5.1 digitals if you want one Tumble...just let me know. They're only rotting in anti static bags in the cupboard.

thanks mate.. I'll let ya know.. found a SB Live at Krisl's..... so fired that in, although i fear it isn't DX9 compatible, as the sound in Farcry is now mullered to the point that it's painful.. and no amount of tweaking will make it nice FB runs ok tho, so that's alright
