I did indeed. Contacted Aria on Monday morning. They asked me to send pictures. I did, including pictures of the boxes to show where the damage had occurred, plus a detailed explanation. Left it with them until Tuesday evening then posted on their forums (thanks Blaineoliver). They sent a replacement that arrived Thursday and were good enough to ask if I'd rather have Royal Mail delivery so I had an easy pick from the depot if I missed the delivery.

I am going to change the cooler. You are right it is very noisy but I just wanted to do the build using warranty covered components in case things went a bit hatstand.
Of course I'm perfect you just need to lower your expectations.

Which is the best way to do things. When I'm putting new kit together I always run it for a month or two on the stock coolers, then if no issues I change them over.

I think the noisiest stock cooler I've ever had was that on my Radeon 4850 which couldn't keep my card cool at all !

You want to hear the fan on my current rig, it makes the gpu cooler sound quiet.
However, the freebie fan that SCAN sent with my mobo order is just the right size so will be a nice little replacement

specialtech have a 1st class recorded option for £2.55 which is reasonable, would be good if scan sold them but on there own they are not enough to get free shipping so postal cost from scan would be £5

You can pinch the grommits from two of the hard drive trays, I'm pretty sure they are the same size (screws are not)

So annoying when the power lead is not quite long enough, you can get extenion cabels

They nearly are, just a different clearence but I took one of the fan grommets off to get the size and will have a chat with the hardware guys at work tomorrow.

The lead is plenty long enough it's the case lid flange that just drops down too low to allow the 8 pin to go through...looks like it's dremmel time.

Could be the BIOS either needs an update or memory remapping is not on?

Re: Success - lots of it.

You should be able to get the latest bios of the manufacturer's website.

There will be instructions on the site as to how to update, this does differ between manufacturers. But shouldn't be too difficult.

Memory remap was a feature in some boards, which allowed more addressable space.

From what I can see your board is quite new, so I wouldn't have thought this would be an issue on second thoughts.

Re: Success - lots of it.

Does your motherboard have on board video?

This would take some system ram if it does.

Edit: Resource monitor in task manager should show where it's going.

Good point that could eaisly be set to use 256mb of memory which would end in 3.8gb

The should be an option in the BIOS to dissable the onboard graphics.

Can you only access the bios from boot? I think yes but I'm still learning and anytime soon somebody will develop a timelord function.

Yep, check your manual, you need to press a key at the start of the bootup to get into BIOS, normally "delete" but not always.
