Re: What was your first PC?

My first computer was a Sinclair ZX81 with 1k of memory. I didn't bother upgrading it because the spectrum was due out soon and I only wanted the ZX81 to see if I was interested enough to buy the 48k (woo big memory) Spectrum

My first actual PC was an Olivetti M24. An interesting machine. It actually had 2 motherboards. One accessible from inside the PC in the normal way and one by removing the bottom of the machine.

Re: What was your first PC?

Im old. Mine was a 286 (16mhz?). I think it had less than a megabyte of ram. Athough my mum had an 8086 from work that I used to play tetris on. It didn't have a graphics card though, so it couldn't play actual games.

I had a ZX Spectrum 48k before that PC though. It was bought for my sister but I basically commandeered it when I was old enough to use it. The PC was my pride and joy though. p.s. I think I went 286 to 486, to a pentium, to a P3, to a P4, to my current PC.

If you take into account retro-gaming things that were sort of computers I had an Atari ST 540FM with I think 512KB of RAM and no hard drive, all games and programs were on floppy.
