ok it will be a SN41G2 shuttle, with a some half good ram, not sure of the make as i'm on a internet cafe right now, will post back later tonight, and info would be good mate
cheers Jim

Don't know much about that shuttle but i believe it's capable of 400FSB, in that case you'll want to get some 3200 RAM and up the bus speed of the CPU to 400(200), in stages obviously so as not to kill anything.
You may need to lower the multiplier a little to reach 200FSB as you may have power issues but just post on here and someone'll give you a hand

The SN41G2 doesn't officially support a 200MHz FSB, but I had mine work happily with it. It did exhibit one strange behavioural problem though, in that it would sometimes not POST, but all you had to do was press the reset button, enter BIOS and save and exit again to sort it. That only happened about one in 20 startups too.
I was apparently very lucky to get mine to run at a 200MHz FSB, with a "magical" 2500+ barton as well, which would go at 2.2GHz easily. No voltage adjustments of course on the SN41G2 so you have to be very lucky. The non-standard SilentX 250W dual-fan Shuttle PSU that i put in it probably helped though.
No voltage adjustment That could throw a spanner in the works.

May i note, if this is the SN41G2 that i sold you Bobby it does not support 200MHz FSB and i definitely 100% know that the RAM and CPU I had at the time could definitely support the 200MHz FSB. So, if you're going to try and OC i wouldn't bother
I think I managed to get it to 168MHz FSB which was pointless. You're only going to be able to get the 166MHz FSB speed.
never mind, so what happens when you get it up to say 175fsb?
Ok i just stuck the FSB up to 182 and it's now running at 2gig!! temps are about 52
You will have a better chance of hitting 200fsb if you don't use the integrated graphics but a separate card..
yeah i have a gforce fx 5600 running, i will push the fsb up a bit more when i get home..
just got my AQXEA one running as a 3200+ chip in windows
I would run the likes of Memtest and Prime95 to ensure you are actually stable though.Originally Posted by Bobby Sixkiller

ok mate are these progs shareware?
Freeware.
Prime 95
Memtest +
Memtest is run from it's own Floppy/CD and Prime95 is run from Windows.
Choose the "Testing Only" option when installing Prime95 and choose the "Torture Test" from one of the menu's once installed.
I use Blend to test as it has max heat generation therefore more likelyhood of failure if your CPU is pushed a little too far.
ok i'm gonna give prime95 a go!
ok passing the tests as we speak, my cpu went upto 58 at one point! stilling going!
Woooot - I'd say 60 deg C is rather high for me, but as long as it'll pass Prime95 for 24~48 hours then it should be fine.
I'd leave Prime to run overnight, then memtest the next night.
