Right now, I am picturing a Top Gear style race, I'm sat in Vauxhall Astra with a 1.4 litre chain driven engine and you are sat inside an Ariel Atom with a V8 engine, it's a drag race, Santa pod style, I would say the distance between my 3d Mark score and yours is about as close as our cars would be to each other 10 seconds after the lights turned green (assuming that we both started properly).

I'm not complaining, I am really please with my score of 10,550 and happier that it beat the Hexus score with the Gigabyte GTX780Ti Windforce in this test, also now that I have updated my BIOS to the most recent version I might be able to hit a better overclock than I had before.

    Re: 3DMark '13 score thread

^^ Wish I could over clock properly to get more out of my cards. All the results I've posted, inc the 18303 one, are using precision x but no change to the voltage. Wish I knew more about oc'ing/was willing to risk it because, even with an extra 144mhz core and 450mhz memory (that's on top of the out-of-the box oc) the fans on the cooler never went above 64% and temps didn't even hit 82...so much headroom

    Re: 3DMark '13 score thread

Use MSI afterburner and you should be able to tick the tick box to enable voltage control. If you go up 5mv at a time to a maximum of 30mv you can't really do any damage as long as you keep temperatures under control? It's up to you. Mind you if your not confident then I'd say the last reason to go risking anything is for a 3dmark score!!!

    Re: 3DMark '13 score thread

This is still a work in progress (aren't they all ) but this is on the AMD rig:

Mobo: Asus Crosshair V Formula mobo
CPU: FX8350 at 4.6ghz plus Corsair H80 Cooler
GPU: XFX R9 290X plus Kraken G10 and Corsair H75 cooler
    RAM: 8gb (4x2GB)

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/1603488

Need to tweak the CPU overclock, return the system to stock settings and then overclock the GPU before the CPU and GPU can be tested with both overclocked.

    Re: 3DMark '13 score thread

I'll keep an eye out for your results then, it will be interesting to see how much of an overclock you can get on the 290X, best I was able to get was around 10% and that was stable enough to run through some 3dMark tests but then I kept getting crashes after around 30 to 45 minutes of gaming on Battlefield 4.

Had a little tweak with the processor and graphics card and downgraded to windows 7, and got a new slightly better score.

    1104 core and 1425 ram.

I cant get the core stable above that without more voltage so will have to flash the Asus bios to my card to unlock the voltage controller.

Ok. I have overclocked my CPU and my GPU now.

CPU seems to be running stable at 4.7ghz, GPU is now clocked at 1060mhz with ram at 7405.6mhz.

    This is what I got:

    http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/2338562

I'm happy, as I cracked the 11k mark, only just though.
