Skt 754 3400 overclocking

Are these cpu's overclockable at all? I will be using a Msi k8n neo mobo and 1gb of OCZ pc3200 ddr.

Most CPUs can reach 2.3 -2.6 Ghz on air. There really is'nt that much headroom unless you are lucky. Newcastle cores tend to be a bit faster. Its all a throw of the dice.

Great well my ram is great as it allows me to overclock my barton 2500 easily upto 3200 speeds.

If you want to see what the CPU can do set the RAM to 166 and hypertransport to 3X and then crank up the FSB (or HTT, whatever it's called) and see what she'll do. You can tweak the RAM speeds later. I reckon you'll probably top out between 2.4 and 2.6 on air, but GL.

Will also depend if it is a Clawhammer (& which stepping) or a Newcastle.
If it's a Newcastle my bet would be nearer the 2.6
