Icehot, i know you said that money wsnt a prob but are you willing to spend £2000, give as an estimate on what u have got. I would spend around £500 to give it some nice parts but u can get nicer and you can get cheaper. (but def AMD if u r not into video editing)

There were early issues around Leadtek shipping GTOs as GTs. Make absolutely sure that yours is a genuine GT. Price should be some guide - if it seems too good a price to be true...

Mmmmmmm, whats more important to you, if video editing then a pentium4 but gaming then an AMD64, Authough personally i would always go with AMD, they r better. I would get an A64 3500+ winchester with and ASUS sli board with an xfx 6800GT (the best 6800gt). But be carefull this will demand power! you will need a good psu. Also there is not much point of a 6800gt with a crappy monitor and how much ram do you have?

Rivatuner shows whether you have 16 or 12 pipes running, which is the easiest way.

The XFX 6800gt has loads of good reviews and is ranked #1 in a lot of mags, but I'm sure the Leadtek is fine too.
