    Input Device's Driver Conflicts

Do logitech's drivers for a keyboard work along side a MS mouse or vice versa?

Last night, my friend bought a new mouse as his old one stopped responding. So he has a Logitech desktop set, drivers can only be obtained for both the mouse and keyboard, not one or the other. He purchased a MS Wireless Optical 2.0 mouse on my reccomendations. So i started to install the drivers and it basically said there were driver conflicts and i had to un-install the other drivers.

Now im wondering if this counts for a single keyboard and a single mouse. I really do like Microsoft's range of keyboards, but would like to pair this with a MX1000 mouse. I don't however, want a driver conflict.

I'm assuming his pulled up a conflict as there were mouse drivers present, as it is a desktop bundle. Am i assuming right? And i would be fine using a cored MS keyboard with a Logitech MX1000?

    Thanks in advance.

I use a MS kb with a mx700 mouse. neve had a prob, but then i've never loaded mouseware (owing to it's reported buggyness).

Maybe it's the mousware that the prob? tried Logitech tech support?

0ID: No, we didnt, he was happy just to not use the shortcut keys on the top of his keyboard. But i use the shortcut keys a lot, hence why im asking.

EDIT: And i also think its the drivers as they are for mouse and keyboard. A stand-alone mouse shouldnt interfere with keyboard drivers i wouldn't have thought, but better to be safe than sorry.

Well I have the Micro$oft Natural Multimedia (wired) keyboard working seamlessly with a MX700 mouse. So that should be fine, installed softare & all shortcut keys on the kb work.

Sounds like a driver prob doesn't it. Googled for similar probs???
