    Smile Acer Laptops

I would like anyones oppinions concerning the above Laptops,
are they a good buy, and reliable.

The site that I prefer to purchase one from is, www.shopacer.co.uk
the models that I prefer are the Acer Aspire range but cannot make my mind
up between the 1674 and the 1804.

The 1674 as 1Gb. ram but only a 15.4" screen, with dual Lan, whereas the 1804 is only 512Mb. ram but a 17" screen and single wireless.

At this moment in time it looks like the 1674 will be the favourite,
but any further advice would be most welcome.

    Harry.

and believe me, I should know I have enough.

Were it me, I'd take the 1804; the X600 graphics put it WAY ahead for 3D performance, neither's really portable, so that isn't much of an issue. Why don't you call them and ask what the cost'd be to up the 1804 to a Gig of memory? Also, it may not be listed n the shopacer site, but according to Acer's main UK site the 1804 WSMi (or at least the spec with the 80GB hard disk) has wired 10/100 ethernet anyway as well as WLAN and Bluetooth.
