LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR - Chipset Heatsink

OK Guys - have a problem - i have the above motherboard with an xfx geforce 6800 ultra grafix card. I have a problem with the dfi heatsink / fan on the chipset. Basically its grinding and not working properly. I modded it slightly to make it work a bit better and to stop it rubbing (there is only a small amount of room between the grfx card and the heatsink / fan for the chipset. However, this is not optimal and its not doing the job as well as it needs to.

All i want from you guys is to suggest a replacement for this a new chipset cooler that is low - cos there is not much room.

Any help is appreciated.

So is it the GFX that is causing it too rub or has the fan failed? If its failed email DFI and they'll send you a new one

For cards that go over the chipet, there is very little gap if any, o the card can rub on the fan.

A few people have modded zalman passive heatsinks for it but you need a fan near, pointing at it.

I hate that fan, its so noisy for something so small!!!!
