Just got my new 17" LCD TV Monitor from savastore, so I'm posting an updated piccie

Here are a few pics of my computer room:





This is my main workstation using dual SGI 1600SW producing a good 3200x1024 pixel workspace.





To drive them I have the Y2k-bug.





On the opposite side of the room we have from the right the Doom 3: Hell Inside for gaming/LAN connected to a 22" Iiyama CRT. One step more to the left we have Udat the fileserver running headless. The three naked systems on top of the empty PC-75 case are the 97,98 and 99 hardware for Project Time Machine.

You can also see the Creative GigaWorks S750 speakers and subwoofer used for gaming.

Well they used to be the super highend back in 1995. The last year of manufacture was 2000 (which these are), I got my first one in 2002 for project Oenone.





A few weeks ago I finally found a second screen on eBay from the same year so I couldn't resist getting it for some dual screen action. It is only the 2000 models tha thave sgi written on the front.

Now if ATI just could support desktop spanning over widescreen monitors I would be really happy. Might have to get a dual DVI 6600GT just to get the desktop as I want it...

Current: Toshiba Sat Pro 6100 (P4-M 1.8Ghz/640mb/40gb), AOpen XC Cube EY-855, P-M 1.8@2.2, 1gb, 80gb, DVDRW, VIA EPIA (Blue IKEA BOX on top of XC Cube) 1.2ghz MS-12000, 128mb, 10gb. (out of picture is silent Cel 300/64mb running Damn Small Linux (onto 17" TFT in pic)).

I use ultra mon, lets me span using my ati 9600xt...

I tested Ultra Mon, it will span the background nicely but the way it emulate the toolbar on the second screen isn't what I wanted at all. What I want to be able to do is to have all quick launch icons on the left screen, addressbar on the right and the open apps in the middle.

I use Multimon, fine for what I needed. To do the wallpaper I just made a file with the two different resolutions on side by side. Works a dream but means don't change the wallpaper often (don't anyway).

Ultramon lets you set the wallpapers individually, so one can be tiled, one stretched, etc...

No fiddling with resizing the wall papers

Hi my name is Steven and I am new to this forum. I am just re designing my room so I will post pics soon

I have just finished redesigning my room and setting up my pcs
This is my main desk it has 2 AMD athlon64 2800 towers 1 dell Optiplex GX1 and 1 Compaq base station i also have 1 dell poweredge server. these are all viewed by my 21" monitor 2 17" monitors 1 each side and a 14 " compaq monitor.



here is a close up of my main desk.



also on the other side of the room i have another desk with 1 dell pc and 3 monitors hooked up to it.
