    Is this Sony any good?

    I came across this Vaio on PC World. It looks like just what I need, although it might need more memory. I was wondering if anyone had any real word experience of it, or knew where it was available for less lucre?

    It's very nice, but a Turion based system will give you a lot more for the money, including 64 bit capability.

    Get an Asus laptop, iirc they manufacture the sony laptops anyway.

    personally i would go for somthing based on a mitac chassis, much more value for money
