    yep and hopfully is about to become even more powerful with dual 16x pci-e slots - I cant wait, i want one !!

    Would there actually be a performance benefit from having 2 16x slots rather than 2 8x slots... I wasn't aware of the 8x slot being saturated (or whatever the right word is) yet.

    For now however, I've decided on the Gigabyte GAK8N NF4 Ultra board with a Abit 256MB X800XL.

    i run 2 6600gts in an Sli machine.....good framerates in BF2 with all the eye candy switched on.

    true they dont come near.

    To me it seems a bit of a pointless gesture, sure in the future a graphics card on an 8x slot will be bottlenecked but by then its likely your whole mobo will be horribly out of date and u'll likely have changed it.
