I would opt for the Tagan rather than the Hiper.

I think the SLK3000B is a better case than the Sharkoon one you've chosen. Ebuyer are currently selling it for £30 with free SuperSaver shipping.

Sometimes it's possible to pickup XP Home second hand for around £30 (seen on another forum).

If you want a cheaper PSU the 400W Silverpower SP400 has some good review and cost 25 pounds.

I'll second the recommendation - I've built a couple of systems with the 350W one.

Yep! Nvidia cards are known to have better Linux support than ATI cards; however support for ATI is improving too I believe. I have run Nvidia cards under Ubuntu and Knoppix and they work fine.My friends also use Debian and both the 6200TC and 6600GT work fine.

If you want the best bang for you buck currently the 7300GT DDR3 is a good choice.

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=498838

If you want to save some cash you could always try using a motherboard using integrated Nvidia 6100 graphics though! You will have to check if Linux will support it OK though??!!

Also check the Deals page on Scan to see if there any bits reduced in price!!
