    IL2 - I've found Nirvana

Hi chaps. Mind if I dip a tentative toe into this forum?

After seeing you all rave about IL2 I started looking around for it. Eventually found it for £9.99 in GameStaion . Then on getting home I realise it is Sturmovik, not FB like you all have.

Ah well. It is still a fantastic 'game'. I can see days disappearing as we speak. So, off to get loads of practise then hopefully you chaps will allow me to join you in the skies. (Once I get FB).

Oh, and HERE'S my first attempt at landing. Bit heavy, you think?

THAT is a BETTER LANDING than we do At least your plane is in tact apart from the prop - we land without wings

Wait till Tumble starts posting his images of several dodgy landings

Thanks guys . Methinking a joystick is rather essential. Me flaps are all over the place So with that gonna head to town and get me one, just got to check that it will go on me board first (NF7).

    Here's my eighth attempt

*edit* Would you guys recommend COM port or USB? I never used joystick on PC before.

I did the same as you mate went to Gamestation and got IL-2 original 4.99 (preowned) had my first go at it last night and love it, I've always liked Planes and went to Shoreham Airshow nr Brighton last year...... wicked.
Only got a game pad with analogue sticks at the mo. Was a bit Manic to say the least so I've got to get a Joystick I reckon.
