    Stupid question about gfx...

Should I run this on openGL or directX? I have it on openGL at them moment. Can you set the filtering inside the game or do ~I have to force it from outside as i am at present?

What i read somewhere (probably rage3d) was that IL2 uses OpenGL and the direct x version is just a wrapper.

So i think it will be faster and probably have more effects in OpenGL i would have thought.

To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

OGL or DirectX - it matters not, 50/50 - give it a try

    **BUT**

If you want to run FB in the highest possible detail settings ie 'perfect' you can only do this in OpenGL, if you have an Ati 9500 upwards or an Nvidia 5600 upwards graphics card you should be able (with some minor tweaking) run FB in perfect mode
with the same if not better framerates than 'excellent'

Do a forum search for 'perfect mode' - should give you enough to go on.

Thanks guys! However do i still have to force AA and AF externally or can they be adjusted from inside IL2?

Externally I'm not aware of an option to do it from within the game.
