Feels like it should be, released 2014. Though the bonus is you don't need to pay a monthly fee

    Re: Free Games

Regularly down to £5 on Steam, I've been tempted but not sure when I'd ever play a PC RPG! Downloading now and pinged to my gaming group to see if anyone bites Core Keeping is getting a bit tiresome.

Argh - conflicted on this one. Have I ever spent time on Elder Scrolls stuff over the years. Oh, boy.

But, I don't play online and having GoG, and given in and got Steam (for Steamdeck) I really don't want yet more online accounts.

If it were virtually anything else, 'playing online' would have pretty much zero appeal but, .... it's Elder Scrolls, man. If *anything* is gonna tempt me, that'll be it.

Soo like I said ..... ARGH!!! With bells on!

    Re: Free Games

I might give it a try, never really played anything online RPG wise as I struggle to dedicate the time to it, can this be picked up whenever I get an hour free or would it not work well?

Another account was bad enough but launcher, too? Unless it's like Gog where the launcher is optional, so naturaally, I opt to install/launch manually.

    Re: Free Games

The super quick install on epic was just a gateway to a huge download! I got a bit confused by the accounts thing and whether I had actually purchased anything. Hopefully will figure it out soon!

    Steam Reviews - "Very positive"

Played both Train Valley games and thoroughly enjoyed them. They are quite different from one another and could easily be treated as two different games.

Number three is in the works so looking forward to that as well.

    Re: Free Games

Wishing I'd got the faster internet now - downloading at just under 9MB/s which certainly isn't bad as my work remote connection is working without issues, but damn it's taking a while. Anyone else fought through the new launcher/account/huge download fun and actually started ESO yet?

I downloaded the 250mb installer, wondered why it was so small, saw the additional login screen googled how big the game ACTUALLY is, then deleted it

Downloaded for a bit, installed a patch, now back to downloading again. 7 GB to go. This better be the best thing since sliced bread!

Thought that was getting to be fairly normal these days.

I used to like how World of Warcraft would torrent between machines within the house as there were several machines with it loaded and at one point three of us playing.
Compared with my wife and I have both been playing Hogwarts Legacy, and so it got downloaded twice. I might try the game on the VR PC at some point to see if the graphics look better with the 3060ti vs my old Vega 56, so that will be three downloads. There has to be a better way...

    Re: Free Games

4 user agreements later and I can't login Going via the browser sends me a one time code, via the game in prompts for one but nothing shows up. I'm glad I didn't pay for this game!

I realise I'm rather polluting the thread but I guess it's meant to be transitory by nature...
