Bough for a couple of quid "a couple of years ago" but not played much. Turns out a couple of years ago was last played July 22, 2015 and play time 11.4 hours! Also picked up Deserts of Kharak actually a couple of years ago (July 2020) but not actually played!

Remastered just patched on Steam for multiplayer cross-play. "We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the Homeworld community at-large for its continued support in the run-up to Homeworld 3's launch in February 2024."

I think I'm going to play through both of the remasters, in preparation for the 3rd game. We've been playing some 4 player FFA skirmish games the last couple of weeks and it's just great fun.

This one's permanently free. I think it was one of GoGs first releases.
Excellent game & story still. Haven't tried Beyond a steel Sky yet. Hopefully that will be free one day

Just a heads-up in case anyone cares and doesn't notice - by agreeing to that one, you are also agreeing to "marketing communications", by email, from both GoG and CD Projekt.

On the one hand, not hugely unreasonable given that the game is free. On the other, and it's my perspective, I don't want "marketing communications" from anybody, about anything (unless, and it's incredibly rare, I actually ask for it).

And I note they are at least up-front about it. On that basis, this one isn't for me but it isn't an excessive ask by them either.

Each to his/her own, but for me, no thanks.

GoG do that quite a lot, from memory you can just go straight into your account settings and turn it back off
