Found my favourite Ranger build now though.

Distracting Shot
Concussion Shot
Debiliating Shot
Savage Shot
Poison Arrow
Chokeing Gas
Troll Unguent
Rebirth/Res Signet

Works great, can take a caster down really quick in PvP. And is great for backup in PvE.

Do you not use anything from your second profession (apart from Rebirth)?

At the moment, I'm using:

Energy Burn
Troll Unguent
Res Signet
Empathy
Power Drain
Poison Arrow
Distracting Shot
Kindle Arrows

Poison Arrow and Kindle Arrows let me do a fair bit of damage, while Empathy helps particularly with Warriors and Rangers (and the casters that still use their weapon when they have Empathy.) Troll Unguent is just for survival, and Energy Burn lets me do a fair bit of damage to casters, as well as draining their energy. Power Drain and Distracting Shot lets me disrupt people, especially those that try to ressurect people. Power Drain is particularly nice since it recharges my energy.

Well, I originally had Ele as my second, and couldn't seem to get an energy effecient build with the skills. Changing to monk let me have rebirth, which is good for PvE. I usually just use chokig gas, then spam the 4 distruptions quickly, and then poison them, theres a couple of ranger elites I want to get, one being Oath Shot, which recharges all skills when you attack with it, and punishing shot, which is another distraction.

Rangers are great though, so much fun to play as. Trapping is good too, as long as the group lets you do it properly.

Where do you go to change your profession? I don't think my Ranger/Elementalist is as good as it used to be!

There are people at the outposts in the desert, I think they are in all the non mission towns IIRC.

I know the Monk one is at Seekers Passage.

Were any of you finding it laggy this weekend, I've been trying to build up my character and it was very stuttery.

I'll take a look at my build later for you matey as I'm warrior / monk. I use axes so am setup for that with an elite in for good measure and 3 monk skills.

From left to right :

1 : Executioners strike - If it hits attack for +32 Damage.
2 : Penetrating Blow - If it hits +16 Damage and also has +20 armour penetration.
3 : Swift Chop - If it hits +15 Damage, if blocked openent suffers deep wound for 20 secs and an additional +15 Damage, canot be evaded.
4 : Cyclone Axe - Spinning axe chop that hits for +10 Damage, also hits all adjacent oponents.
5 : ELITE : Battle Rage - Elite Stance for 18 secs, move 25% faster, gain double adrenaline from attacks, ends if you use any non attack skills, when ends lose all adrenaline.
6 : Resurect - Self Explanatory.
7 : Mending - While maintained gain health regeneration of +2.
8 : Healing Breeze - For 10 secs health regeneration of 5.

Thats what I use, havnt quite decided wether I want max strength of axe mastery though on my characters build, tried it with max strength but not that great so currently upping axe mastery to max to see whats better, just need the skill points !

argh, my W/Mo has hit sanctum cay, been with 2 groups, first decided to attract every executioner within 6 miles, second did the same and they all refused to drop the sceptor, i could scream right now

now at dunes of despair, problem is i've got 2 superior runes and only start with 322 health, doesn't take much to kill me, and superior vigor onyl does +75, bah not sure what to do now

I didnt go for any superiors as I found that they reduce health so just went for minor and major, as a Warrior you need plenty health, mines around 520. Was it you I took to Dunes last night ?

If you dont use that many energy spells you could use that enchantment had gives you 200 extra health, with one less energy regen.

Been away for another week, I hate feeling as if ive lost touch. What was the PVP thing like that was advertised on the Guildwars main page?

All it did was give you extra faction, so only really worth it if you have PvP only characters.
