    LOMAC help pls

Ok Ok so your right Skii, Nuts and Lowe jets can be fun Just been messing on quick fly to get hang......training missions to bloody tedious so been working it out from keycard and random pressing of buttons

But why do I seem to keep loosing 1 engine in F15 and Flanker? One min both working next one is out

    Edit

Is it pulling mad moves that knocks it out? If so wheres the bloody on button?

And another thing, how come I cant get a missile lock till 5km and the bloody F14s etc in QMB shoot at me from 20km?

    Hi Dak

Not sure why you are losing one engine mate, not heard of that issue before- I knowmthat the default key is either page up/or down for the engine on/off but you might need to calibrate it properly in the options screen.

    Missiles

Firstly you need to use the right radar mode and weapon, I presume you are flying the flanker

    Go here

    http://flankertraining.com/lomac/A2A.html

and download the tutorials by Ironhand - they are awesome and teach you all about the different radar modes and how to shoot / avoid missiles.

I'm a bit rusty with LOMAC keyboard commands, but I think the BVR (beyond visual range ) radar mode is 2, you alter your radar range with the + and - key, move the cursor over the target with the ,./; keys and lock him up with ...er.... enter..I think (very rusty)

Use the R-27 missiles to lock him up at long range, and let fly when you get a solid lock, don't break lock until you hit him. Don't forget he has the AMRAAM which is lethal within 10 miles, (when he launches turn around and get the hell oot of there)

Sounds definatley like an X-45 calibration issue thingy problem - go to the options screen and check the inputs

    Landing is easy innit

R-77 Adder pwns all m8 - thats the long slender missile with the mesh fins at the back - only the Mig-29 carries it in LOMAC , nicknamed the 'AMRAAMSKI'

So - you are making progress

'Beaming' - look it up. Its a technique you need to learn to survive in LOMAC

Landing the MiG isn't so easy - that thing climbs soooo easily it's untrue. Stick the flaps down and it just wants to go up. Lots of trimming required, and don't flare the landing too much else you'll loose your nozzles!

Aye - landing the Russkie birds is a little trickier than the Yank stuff as they don't have the moving flightpath marker that tells you exactly the spot you will touch down on your hud, plus the migs airbrakes don't work if your landing gear is down!

Still my favorite plane though - the trick with the Mig is not to use your radar proper stealth kills

    - oh, and the fuel tanks in the Mig are pitiful, use afterburner VERY sparingly
