Good to hear, their cases were nice and they made some good, quiet, slim fans (the LEDs had a habit of packing up but the fans keep going).

I'm also a fan of their PSUs. I bought one when people were raving about them, then peoples' opinions dropped for some reason that I missed. Mine's still working well in one of my machines though and has never skipped a beat.

Hopefully this Russia move wont affect the quality of their products.

It was the horrible reliability of their later PSUs.

    Re: HIPER is back!

I'm confused: the max combined load for the 3.3V, 5V and 2x12V rails is stated as 681.5W. The max combined load for the -12V and 5VSB is 18.5W. I make that a total MAX combined load of 700W. Yet the max peak load is 750W?

So the PSU can peak at 50W more than it's rated maximum combined load? Is that just Hiper's claimed tolerance (i.e. it can output 700W continuously with a 750W peak)? Or is it real bad maths?

    Re: HIPER is back!

I was just about to buy their aluminium case with the PSU at the bottom, but finally I took the cooler master RC-590, the HIPER PSU with many many of USB connections never made sense to me

    That would be the detonators.

    Re: HIPER is back!

Ahh the good old hipper fire hazards, I nearly fell for that one after reading some good reviews, luckily I spotted that new versions where getting a lot of complaints and no reviews.
Granted that at the same time there was the big capacitor debacle so it wasn't all hippers fault.

You know, if I was truly paranoid and cynical, then I've view the whole capacitor debacle as a conspiracy plot by the japanese capacitor industry and not the targets of industrial espionage which back fired on the other non-japanese capacitor manufactures.
