But for those that choose to live a loser's life, let them, they're really not doing us workers any harm at all, honestly. As I pointed out previously, the money they claim is peanuts compared to the Nation's budget. If these 'scroungers' are doing that much wrong, they will get theirs eventually, one way or the other. I believe in that, call it what you will, Karma, whatever.

How can you say they are not harming us? Our taxes which should be spent to better our country is being wasted on those who claim millions per year so they can get away with not working. Unfortunately 'what goes around comes around' doesn't always work, and it seems that the nasty bar stewards in this world hardly ever get their 'just dessert' otherwise many people would be put off doing the wrong things.

BA: True, they cost millions a year. What's a few million to the UK Goverment budget? Nothing. they spend that much on useless surveys, consultants and think tanks. Those scroungers are being taken care of. It means there's less dossers on the street for you to trip over.

As I keep on saying, look to where the real money's being wasted. But then you couldn't get so het up about that one. And it's not just you Big Al, I ain't having a go at you personally, lots of my friends and relatives would agree with you, I'm always having this 'argument' with them as well

Just because I feel strongly against and argue a lot about these sort of subjects doesn't mean I ignore everything else. I think wasting the amount of time and money they do on some of their things is crazy too, but unless I see a complete waste in my area or have a decent conversation with other people about it then I won't feel so strongly about it.

Yes, I'm not looking at the big picture, but this thread was started about cannabis and veered off at a tangent about benefit claimers using drugs and now to this... This place is becoming more and more a political fighting ground lately. I've already stopped commenting in the immigrant thread and might stop in this one now. People are not talking about specifics anymore, people seem to be creating arguements about what they please.

i don't claim benefits or anything, i work and go to college. i was just saying that its fair play to people claiming them, its a lot easier than working aint it. i'd claim em if i could.

The unfortunate thing is a lot of people in this country share punky's views. It's a sad life if you spend it trying to do as little as possible and scrounge as much off other people as you can. Lots of people do deserve benefits but those who are falsely claiming them are just stealing and taking money which could be given to the people who need it.

you hardly pay any taxes if you're scrounging off the state. Also maybe taxes wouldn't have to be so high if the revenue wasn't being wasted on people falsely claiming benefits etc.

its got nothing to do with Adam biting an apple, or any other religious bullcrap. its to do with constraints put upon us by the state, controls if you will. we work towards what we are told is the correct lifestyle- i.e. work all your life, spend lots on consumables, drive big cars that pollute the earth, move to places that have free space (countryside) and build on it, follow all laws even if they are rediculous/should be illegal, and generally be a 'model citizen'. this is crap. i ain't gonna live my life like that. i know there can be change for the better, its just showing others that its possible too.
