You lot are awfully good at running down your police service. I would love for the police in this country to be able to pay their staff decent salaries, let alone even be able to afford jetski's.
Anyway, the next time someone is drowning, caught in a current, or whatever, I'm sure you'd like to explain to their family why the police should use cars and patrol boats to rescue them. A jetski is clearly a rapid response vehicle, and in rescue situations, time is what counts. Granted, a helicopter could be used, but it first has to be launched, flown to the area, and then either divers (Who have to get kitted up first) dropped, or a rescuer winched down, all of which takes a lot more time than an officer hopping on a jetski and going off.
I haven't voted in this poll, because the two options are so completely biased towards the same answer. I would have voted yes.
