Why is religion bad?

Most wars were caused by religion - where one culture trys to force their culture or more importantly religion onto another culture that doesnt want it. In this respect christianity is by far the worst offender... (except maybe jhova[sp?] witnesses that go door-to-door)

really? tell that to the millions upon millions of Christians in china, who went through a period of enforced anti-religion.

While i dont know the details of such events, I would say thats more a case of cant-have-so-i-want... rather than anything else.. ofcourse if you want something enough you will start to belive in it...

or maybe becuase the chinese goverment know that religion, especailly christianity is a load of poo, and so done the right thing IMO - again not knowing the details of the events but if christians got hurt/died (im guessing) its their own fault for beliving in a fake god..

Well, I realise you posted that to get a reaction hence my rather short reply about the guys credabillity. What I would say is that just because an opinion is common (and I am not conceeding that it is) certainly does not make it correct.
