Yeah it does but in the small print they lock you into the higher price and if it goes down you still pay the higher price 8-(

british gas is just doing what it does best, screwing joe public by allways charging more than its competitors and gets away with it thru clever advertising, every other advert seems to be those flipping annoying british gas adverts.

Have to agree with the comment about the British Gas Adverts, so many of them its almost like some form of brain washing. Seeing them constantly blaging up how competitive their prices are when in reality its the opposite. Maybe all these adverts are just a comfort blanket, designed to reassure current customers that they are getting a good deal and theirs no point in changing supplier. Wake up people, its time to stop this kind of rip-off company attitude Have a look at the various switching web sites and make your own decision.

I wish I had gas central heating even with the price increases. Electric heating costs take
the piss. They dont seem to build new places with gas now... at least not flats.

taking into account annual maintenance costs etc. a modern electrical system is often cheaper to run.

Comparing how much my parents 4 bedroom place costs with gas compared to how much my one bedroom flat costs and how much it costs them to maintain. Id still choose gas as I pay much more than they do with their gas an electricity combined. Well it was until I started
using a blanket during the winter like some old granny.
