I really enjoyed the self-contained nature of the campaign area ... and the soundtrack too.
so is this better than empire total war? cause i really never got into that but I really enjoyed all the ones before it.
Even considering that it's netcode is utterly terrible, it's one of the best games I have ever played.
Never played a TW before but tried them all since and I cannot play any of them, Shogun 2 is just completely intuitive and utterly fun. Playing co-op is extremely good, although netcode issues can make it a chore at times (desync happen and the host has to send save to co-op partner as for some reason the slave player keeps losing data from the save...)
Warrior nuns with the ikko ikki DLC as well!!

I'm going to try the demo of this out and was wondering if it does the game justice I've known a few games where the demo doesn't really show the game well enough wanted to make sure this wasn't one before i try it.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but do you need to connect to the internet or download large patches before you can play this game? Or is it ok straight out of the box?
You can play OTB.....BUT:
You will not have DX11. The game will be quite buggy. You cannot have any of the DLC (blood pack is worth it on its own!).
I would highly recommend getting it online and patching the hell out of it.

Still sitting in my steam library untouched. It seems to be 1 of those games that doesn't instantly appeal, but I'll know I'll lose months of my life playing it when I start.
