    Question A bit of help please

    Hi, i've never really been a big pc person and have always gotten cheap not very good pc's in the past so i'm a bit new to it all. On the pc im looking to get from 3xs it says i'll need to upgrade the power unit if using an NVIDIA 465+, the one i was looking to get is a 768Mb EVGA GTX 460. I know its not 465 or over but i havnt seen one that says 465 on it so was wondering if i did need the power upgrade? Thanks

    Not sure if it helps, but the pc scan made for me has a gtx 460 in it. It is powered by a 450w psu, dunno if that helps, im guessing it also depends on what else your having put into your machine.

    Darkness4518,

    Which of the 3XS systems is it your looking at on the configuration system?

    If you can let me know, I can check over it and give you more information on it

    Best Regards,

    Re: A bit of help please

    What nvidia state is that the minimum system requirements for the PSU with a GTX 460 installed are as follows ;

    Minimum System Power Requirement (W) 450 W
    Supplementary Power Connectors Needed - 6-pin & 6-pin

    As such, seeing as the system is overclocked which can also mean the CPU uses more power, I would recommend swapping over from the 430W to the 600W if you plan to use the GTX 460 card.

    I hope this information helps.
