    Overclocking issues

I'm hoping someone on the forum can help tonight as I don't have a great deal of time to troubleshoot my machine since purchase (around a month ago).

I've been sent the 'Overclock' profile for my machine by scan support, but when I try and load it ...

"Press F12 and load the profile off the Flash Drive and once done press F10 to save and exit and remove the flash drive"

...it doesn't even see the USB drive. It's formatted FAT32 and yes, I did copy the file 'Z68XP-UD' across correctly.

I don't get a great deal of time at the moment to spend doing this and bought the machine primarily to simply turn on and play games, but ever since it BSOD on me I've lost my overclock settings. Advice? If not, it'll probably take ages to troubleshoot this.

Re: Loading OC profile from USB

    Hi YaoNg

The bios likes smaller flash drives so anything 4 gig and below for a flash drive should be ok, I have issues with getting the bios to recognise 4Gigs + so maybe you are using a bigger flash drive?

    Re: Overclocking issues

    Ben,

I've managed to apply the overclock settings from the profile you've sent me. I also ran both the Prime95 and the CPU-Z for over 24 hours. When I came back from work last night the PC crashed with a BSOD and exhibited the same symptoms as previously, which is when it gets stuck in a loop of trying to start but failing. The lights come on, the fans start up, but then it shuts down and does the same again. I turned if off and haven't tried again since, but this is the BSOD.

I'll email you the screenshot as I'm not sure how to post it here.
