Acronis software question

Hello all
I recently caught a Backdoor Trojan which Kaspersky picked up during a scan. On trying to delete, my system shut down and windows wouldn't load, instead just restarting over & over.

I managed to load 'My Backup' from the Acronis software installed by Scan and although I've lost all my game saves, documents etc, my machine looks like it does the day I turned it on (March last year!)

I was wondering, would the Acronis software get rid of the trojan, or is it still there waiting for the scan to pick it up-try to delete-back to squre one again?
