why are scan using such a incompetent delivery company?

I have ordered a DVD drive of scan and it came with a massive dent on the side of it, where DPD have hit it, So scan have been kind enough and replaced it.

The replacement came today, and again theres a massive dent on the side.

Im not happy. Please go back to citylink

this was the last DVD rom, the one that came has got a similar damage

but my question remains, how could a delivery company do so much damage specially to scans packing skills where theres more bubble wrap than the actual product? I bet if i hit it with a baseball bat it wont cause such a huge dent

    tl:dr GO BACK TO CITYLINK

    Georgy291,

I would advise that you report this via the support section of the SCAN website so we can look into it further with DPD for you.

The contact details for this are here

Re: why are scan using such a incompetent delivery company?

When we were with CityLink everyone asked for change, we said NO, all couriers are roughly the same, eventually due to increasing problems we did change to a new courier, whom, I may add % wise have far far less problems than we previously encountered.

But again and we said many times when City Link were our courier, no courier can ever provide a service that makes 100% of people happy 100% of the time, it's the nature of the beast problems are always going to arise now and again.

It certainly makes no sense to reverse the decision which on the whole was a wise one !

just have sent off a load of pictures to lis. And i would like to thank scan for doing their very best on the issue.

The reason im so annoyed is because the drive pictured is the original drive, i received a replacement. And its in very similar condition as the one pictured.

Re: why are scan using such a incompetent delivery company?

the buble wrap it came in clearly showed where the damage came from, there was a slight rip in the mail bag, and the buble wrap was burst around that area

    Georgy291

The claims Manager is now dealing with this for you and we will resolve this...

We are also checking the stock we have to confirm the damage did not happen during transit from the supplier to SCAN.

    Best Regards
