    620W Seasonic PSU Warranty

Hello Guys, my 620W Seasonic power supply isn't working anymore and I would like to know how I could get a replacement or even a refund.

I am certain that it is the PSU as the Motherboard light doesn't even come on and there is no signs of power / no fans spin.

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/620w-...-12v-120mm-fan

It is stated that it has a 24 month warranty and also, I am not entitled to ScanSure having purchased it at the start of January.

What steps would I have to take in order to get it repaired/replaced or a refund.

    Thanks

    Re: 620W Seasonic PSU Warranty

You can check using the paperclip test to confirm the PSU will not start.

Your are still within warranty, please raise an RMA query for a replacement.

What if the PSU works with some components but not with the Motherboard - Will the MoBo need to be replaced?

The outcome that it does not work would be the result you're after; but I would make sure it is definately the problem.

If the PSU is not faulty then you will be out of pocket and it will be returned to you.

Hmm .. I'm pretty sure that it's my motherboard causing the problem.
The PSU works with all other components (such as fans and Optical Drive) but as soon as I connect it to the MoBo, it causes the PSU (+ PSU fan) to stop and the MoBo obviously doesn't work too.

    Any suggestions ?

    Re: 620W Seasonic PSU Warranty

    CPU and mobo only ok?

I had this happen and it was my IDE CDRW (this jonnyguru guide was helpful); the funny thing is when I plugged it back in again it worked fine.

    Re: 620W Seasonic PSU Warranty

ok, so I'm getting further now ! .. I moved the jumper to the other pin and now the Motherboard light has finally come on

Although the MoBo is on, nothing seems to be working yet - I've tried the CMOS button. I have also tried the components which I actually Require (CPU, Cooler, RAM, MOBO & GPU) standalone but still no luck.

I have tested the MoBo outside the case too, and tried a different CPU Cooler.
