    Delayed delivery - Over a week?

    Completed my first order with scan, and a hefty one at that.

    I've been informed that one of my products is out of stock and will be for at least a week, and I find it unbelievable that not only that there isn't an adequate stock control system in place for when items get to crucial levels, and two, I'm being charged for 24 hour delivery at £25 odd, yet I won't receive anything for a minimum of 10 days from purchase! Split delivery is a waste of time as not only will it cost me more, but is useless me building a PC when a graphics card is missing - and will be for a week.

    Can someone inform me of why stock is managed as such, and why I'm paying over £25 when I'll be receiving nothing until late next week, at the earliest.

    We also made you aware of this on the day of dispatch via email, if you wish to choose an alternative card for example LN38874 1GB SAPP HD6870 11179-09-20G we could dispatch your order today for delivery tomorrow.

    The delivery charges are for next day delivery from dispatch not from ordering for example if your order was to leave us today it would cost a charge of £20.97 + vat or if you asked for it to leave us next week the charge would be the same. The delivery dates given online are only a request and obviously this is dependant on all items being in stock.

    Please advise how you would like to proceed and we will process immediately, the out of stock graphics card on your order could take up to one more week to be received.

    Thank you for the reply.

    Unfortunately, I do not have the funds to spend and extra £23 on a graphics card - for the same model at that (what I've ordered really is the limit), and I'm presuming it'll also be without Deus Ex, so I'd be quite a bit worse off changing now.

    I completely understand about the delivery, but I do think it's a bit harsh when items are delayed by so much, or even a delay on top of a delay. But perhaps that's just me.

    The estimated lead date on my original email was the 15th, how on Earth can it take almost another week (total of 11 days), for stock to be resupplied!? Surely there is a system in place to flag up stock that's at very low levels and order it in accordingly in the first place?

    Are you now telling me my estimated lead date is the 19th, or is that the day I would hope to receive it? To be honest with you, delivery any time after this Friday is a bit on the pushy side.

    Do you think there is a chance of the card coming into stock this week, or can you guarantee that it'll be in stock on the 19th with dispatch for delivery to me on the 20th?

    The cards are in short supply at the moment as such because of these kinds of problems it's not possible to keep every products continuously in stock.

    I think LN 37714 would be a suitable alternative for you, clocked higher and also cheaper.

    Hi,

    It's £11 more than I'm paying at them moment, but yes, I would like to exchange in the XFX 6870 (Dual fan) Black Edition 'LN37714', for the standard version, would I also keep my allocated Deus Ex code though?

    Could you also please remove item 'LN29318' from my order (Coolermaster Hyper TX3), and replace it with item 'LN37874' (Antec Kuhler H2O 620), it'd be much appreciated.

    I've just seen my bank transactions, and I see I have now been charged (as of today) for the my original order inc. standard XFX 6870.

    Are you able to complete the above request and charge for the Black Edition, (£135.22-£124.42) ~£10.80

    As well as replacing the CoolerMaster TX3 with the Antec H2O 620 (£45.14-£15.44) ~£29.70

    Charging an extra £40.50 to my account.

    Thanks for the help and sorting it out for me, despite my pestering - I just could have done with an update!
    Though regardless, I appreciate the assistance.

    Just anxious of spending such an amount of money (I'm a student).
