Don't dell have a swap 'for any reason your not satisfied' thingy in their warrenty.
I seem to remember reading about it last year when I was looking at new monitors. Some people were getting them swapped because of colour banding, and dell had a next day swap out policy.
Like I said, I'm not sure about this, I may have been asleep when I read it, but its got to be worth checking the warrenty to see if it applies in your case.

You have to contact dell direct (I think) about the swap, and not scan

Cheers guys the dell guy is trying to give me the run around saying its probably a software issue.
Ok thanks for all the info. Can someone at scan clarify the warranty as when I ring dell there is so much confusion because there is no dell order number that they cant bring up the most basic of details like warranty info etc.
Is there anyway of tracing the original order number for the product?
