    RMA Woes :(

I raised an RMA with Scan on wednesday for my P5B Deluxe Wifi board, where I spoke to Returns and talked to him about my booting problems which I posted on the forums about last week. I told him what I had tried, and he agreed that it sounded like the board was faulty, so he asked whether I wanted a refund or a replacement. I chose to have a replacement, as it is generally a good board. I got 3 emails from Scan: 1) Stating that the RMA had been raised 2) The collection details 3) Packaging infomation for the board.

However, when my housemate handed over the board this morning, the courier didn't give a replacement board which I assumed based on the 2nd email I got. Here's a copy of the email:

That is information about the people who came to pick it up from you to take it back to Scan. The board will be tested and then when found faulty a replacement will be issued.

They are standard procedures of RMAs. Only a couple of companies sometimes go the step further by cross shipping i.e. what you are talking about picking up and replacing at the same time. This companies are typically people like BFG (a graphics card manufacturer).

having recently dealt with an RMA with anOther Company in the UK ()I can tell you Scans RMA process is excellent in comparison with most, especially theirs.
