    RMA - What is happening.

    Hi Scan,

I sent my monitor back to you for RMA, and you received it yesterday afternoon however I have heard nothing about it and your RMA enquiry service on your site says the RMA doesn't exist.

The RMA is ******. I have been emailing lynda evans who has been very helpful but I haven't heard anything back from her today.

I am in a rush to get my monitor back tomorrow morning.

    Thanks,

    Mark

I cant see you recieving the monitor in the morning mate.

They have 8 steps which they have to go through, you can check this on the site in the RMA bit.

I sent my RAM of which i had bought the wrong type of so am awaiting a refund (not checked bank this week) but it was 1 - 2 days after they received it that I got e-mails.

You might have to wait until after the weekend for the monitor back though I think.

I received the monitor this morning (Saturday).

All I can say scan is that your customer service is excellent. I called you at 4pm Friday afternoon and asked what is happening. The guy on the phone literally went to the returns department, managed to get the item checked and an email within 40 mins of the phone call saying my item was faulty and the item will be despatched tonight.

Wow!!!! I love you guys!!! I am sure you will see much more of my wages

    Thanks again.

Hey Mark, is it the dell 24" that had the loose panel that you sent back? Are you happy with the replacement? And, finally, is it the A04 rev, that you wanted (i know the original was, just wondered if an earlier rev had been sent as a replacement)?

    Alright man,

yeah it was the 24" that I sent back! yeah happy with the replacement, panel still isn't 100% solid but I think thats just the way they are made. Maybe because of their size, they need a little bit of slack so they don't just snap? I don't know. There are no dead pixels that I have noticed so just gunna leave it. And yes, it was a A04 - Very happy.

    You still ordering one yourself?

    Mark

Probably, but every week I see something different that I like the look of, about the only thing I'm sure about is the dell is (atm) favourite.

    Glad you're happy with yours.

Well I do recommend it! The price is excellent. You could spend an extra 200+ for a viewsonic etc but I really don't think its worth it. The only other one I would have bough would be the new Samsung 226BW (22") so probably get two, but Scan do not have them yet.

Well let me know what you decide and if your happy.

Don't worry, I've seen my mates (so I know it's a good looking monitor).

I think the choice for me is the samsung 226bw (as you mentioned), though it's only 22" 9dual monitor sounds good, have to see how much scan let them go for), the samsung 244t (but the 245t is due soon), or the dell (which is the only one I've seen live so know I like and it's around £160 cheaper than the 244t. Not really keen on viewsonic, so they're not likely to figure.

Going to be around june when I get it, so plenty of time to make my mind up, let you know when I do.

    Hi Vinny,

I actually watched an episode of lost today and noticed some back light bleeding in the bottom corners and down the lower side of the panel - this was not present in the previous one I had initially. The back light bleed isn't the worse but I know the last one was perfect and there was none at all so I think I am going to have to send this one back also. I am a little annoyed, and a part of me is considering getting another monitor. But I think I will get them to replace it one more time and hope for the best.

Scan: could you please send me a PM regarding this and what you can do about it as I am not prepared to take another day off work in order to wait for the item to be picked up.

Also the replacement I received yesterday - on the packaging it had been re-taped and I am wondering if it was a new monitor that I received.

Vinny: do you know if your mates Dell has any backlight bleed? All I know is that the original one didn't - I just wish it hadn't been damaged in transit as it was perfect

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hey Mark,

Sorry to hear that, £500+ is a lot to pay and not be happy with what you have got.

My mates monitor has virtually no bleed at all, in fact you have to look really close to see any imperfections at all.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

    vinny
