    Unhappy Delayed Scan Order

    Hi, Ordered some PC bits from Scan last week for delivery tomorrow (5th April). Phoned this morning just to make sure everything was ok as my order had yet to be picked, and when checking stock the processor now said it was out of stock. The guy on the phone said 61 where being 'held for invoice' and my one should be one of them. Phoned again this afternoon and about 3pm as my order was still not picked. The guy on the other end of the phone assured me my order would be picked this afternoon and dispatched for delivery tomorrow (5th). Tonight at 8:10 scan email me to say due to unexpected volumes in the warehouse my order has been delayed. The most annoying part is after getting told this afternoon my order would go out today for delivery tomorrow, I still took tomorrow off. My work is now covered meaning I've lost a days leave. Also no mention in the email from scan when I can expect my order.

    Ordered from scan as their prices seemed to quite good. Don't feel so good now I've lost a days leave. Is this typical of their service? OR have i been unlucky?

    this is unlucky typically the item you order arrives on time and is in stcok.

    But then again with any popular company like SCAN items will go out of stock from time to time.

    The actual order says its 'picked' so I would take that as eveything has been pulled off the shelf and is waiting for despatch. I presonally think the order was picked late and therefore missed being picked being sent to the courier. If thats the case then that is annoying considering the about of time the order has been with scan and also being told twice on the phone yesterday the order would be delivered today. Also if it's next working day to me, does that mean Tuesday now? Or will scan feel sorry for me and book a Saturday morning delivery giving me a few days over easter to build the PC? Not like it's a small order as it comes to over £600. Here's hoping....

    Phoned up and spoke to a very helpful person (julia) on the phone who has arranged Saturday morning delivery for me. Shame my items were not delivered today (as not doing anything tomorrow!!) but at least I'm not having to wait to Tuesday and taking another day off on leave.
