    Fan Controlling

My new system will have the following fans:

CPU Fan ( one of those zalman ones)
    Memory Fan ( Corsair dominator)
Northbridge Fan ( bundled with the A1 mobo)
All the fans in the Antec P182 Case( obviously cant attach all to controller)

I was just wondering if i should go and get a fan controller. im thinking of getting the zalman ZM-MFC2 which will only cost around £20 which is nothing compared to the total of my system.

Also if anyone replying has a P182 Case, do you reckon the front door will be able to close without the knob on the controller giving any problems?

    Thanks in Advance

You could try an internal controller - the only ones I know of are the MCubed T-Balancers - e.g.

Expensive and complicated but you'd definitely be able to close the case door

Edit - removed link from competitor website seeing as this is the scan forum...

I have a ZM-MFC2. The knob is about 0.8mm thick. Where have you seen it for £20!

TBH there is not much point getting a ZM-MFC2 if it is behind a closed door. Get something simpler without a display.

Cheers for that guys. Well i take it, it wont hurt for me to have one. It wont necessarily stay constantly behind a closed door. as im gettin the p182 case, the door can open 270 degress so i can still show it. i was just reading about that zalman one and coz it could control 4 fans, measure psu wattage and includes temp probes, i thought it was worth the price.

o n btw, i kinda lied about the price! its around £30

The Zalman can control more than 4 fans. If you use a splitter you can control 2 fans each on the 3 x 3pin headers. One is included with the unit.
