No reply from Scan regarding warranty issue

I've contacted scan a few times over the last couple of days regarding a faulty Hiper PSU bought in Jan 2006, which came with a 3 year warranty.

So far, I have not had a reply from them even though I have a reference no. from their website.

Just wondering what I should do next if anyone has any advice?

I would contact Hiper anyway, over a year most retailers will send you the the manufacturer first. Ring Hiper, if they say contact Scan then just phone Scan and tell them Hiper told you to go through them.

Re: No reply from Scan regarding warranty issue

I use to have a couple of Hiper PSU's, they gave me a headache, broke down a few times, guess might have been unlucky. One failed taking out the whole system. Hiper do tend to deal with RMAs after the first year, well in my case anyway, you set up an RMA number by emailing if I recollect. Anyhow you can get the contact telephone number off the following page:

    http://www.hipergroup.com/English/contact.html.

It use to be Option 3 for RMA's but don't quote me, good luck.

Thumbs down Re: No reply from Scan regarding warranty issue

    Thanks everyone for your replies.

Contacted Hiper and they have sent me a RMA number.

But surprised at Scan that they did not even acknowledge my e-mails, at least out of courtesy. I don't know what they are like normally, but this has now swayed me to buying the new motherboard, cpu and memory from another retailer (Ebuyer) in the next couple of days.
It's always a good test to see what these companies are like when you do get a genuine fault and see how they will deal with it.

    cheers
