    Delayed Order - No Stock?

    Ordered a BFG 8800GT on Thurday with a estimated delivery date for Monday,the item was showing as in stock when i ordered but now ive just had the dreaded post 8pm email that it`s not in stock and to add insult to injury i got offered a 320MB 8800GTS as a replacement.

    How come it was showing in stock when i ordered and after i ordered yet you have no stock?

    Right,i rang and cancelled the order this morning and got a email saying i would get a full refund within the next few days?

    Can someone from Scan confirm that the money was indeed taken from my account for a order that wasnt even in stock when you claimed it was?

    If this is the case then i could indeed miss out on what i`m after (8800GT) as i`m going to have to wait until my account is credited back before being able to order another card from whoever has them in stock.

    Please remember to PM any invoice numbers to scan staff and not post them directly in the thread

    What i`d like to know is how come i was charged for an item which clearly wasnt in stock when it was shown to be in stock?

    You could have other 8800GT`s come in next week and whilst i`m waiting for my refund for the one i ordered which clearly wasnt in stock i could miss out on one as i don`t have the funds to purchase another one whilst waiting for the refund back from yourselves.

    Sorry Scan but i`m not very happy with this scenario,over the past 2 years ive placed 28 orders totalling £3200 and from that time ive seen things steadily going downhill with orders being delayed more and more and now with this order getting messed up.

    I will not go into the delayed orders senario agian as this has been metioned and explain fully in other threads, "things are not going down hill" as your visions of Scan are made on searching through the Scan Care forums where people come to get customer care and advice. The percentage of orders that leave Scan on time are high in comparison.

    All stock of 8800GT's are limited due to high volumes of orders and limited stock, as soon as they come in stock we get a high volume of orders within a very short space of time whether it be over the internet, the phone or over our shop counter on a first come first served basis. If you did not request your order to be refunded and wanted to be 1st inline with the next batch of 8800GT's available and not fussy about brand we could of done this and more than likely of had one shipped to you mid next week.

    Items being charged for before delivery has also be discussed in other threads but I do apologise if this has not been made clear upon purchase although it is in our terms and conditions.

    Sorry but my visions of Scan are not made on what goes on in this forum,ive been a loyal customer for 2 years (check my account if you wish) and my judgements are based on my experiences only.

    One thing i will ask is if you get the Evga 8800GT Superclocked in on Monday,Tuesday or Wednesday would it be possible to reserve one of these cards for me until the refund from Scan clears in my account so i can re-order?
