Can you cross ship an RMA?

I'm a 3rd year BEng student so I could do with as little down time as posible, today my 2 week old (shiped on the 1st) system won't post so I'm going to need to RMA somthing (or things) (I hope it's not the 8800GT considering how hard they are to come by at the moment) and most signs point to the CPU or MB (thinking the latter) but I don't have the ability to test them seperatly. Is it posible to cross ship on a returned MB or less likley I know CPU?

I've posted the problem here. In the hope it dosn't come to an RMA.

If I can't narrow down the problem to one item what would be the procedure for RMAing both the CPU and MB knowing it's probably only a problem with one of them?
