At the beginning of the month my 8 week old Asus M2N32-WS PRO ran up the flag an died. It was running as a secondary server and games machine (SLI, PCI-X slots and 9 SATA ports ). As I needed the PC and I had Monday free I drove over to Scan who confirmed it was dead. After much confusion I was give a very battered box with a very battered B grade replacement. After asking for confirmation that it worked (yes) I got home to find it dead as a dodo
I have got another RMA but told in an E-mail don't bother sending it in until Jan 3rd. I phoned today and told not expect it to be sorted until Feb 1st! (4th Jan +28 days + a day for return postage). If I wanted to bring it in it could be sorted next week (together with half a day's flexi and another £15 in Petrol).
Scan may have procedures to follow but given the state of the MB its only going to worth £20, even if it worked. It would be some much easier just to write it off and send another replacement; if I have to drive over I will be bringing my PC over (Thermaltake Mozart case!) and the tech support guy can prove any replacement does work.
