When will Scan get the Asus Rampage Formula?

I read somewhere that Intel have asked for the release of the X48 to be put back again as AMD have no viable alternative (which is true).

Blitzen, don't even think of things like that. I can't possibly wait any longer.

I waited for the DFI X38 board (which still is not here) and the Asus X48 Rampage Formula.

If we wait any longer Nehalem will be upon us

Ok Chris you have listed them at Scan, but will there be an X48 Rampage Extreme version? If so when?

The motherboard listed are one's we've got delivery dates confirmed and pricing agreed. It could be that we are just awaiting purchasing to sort the rest of the series of X48 boards out with the suppliers and manufacturers before they are added to the website.

Asus have informed us the board “should” be released into distribution around the 21st March – Note this is not guaranteed and could be delayed.

As soon as we can get hold of stock we will do.

Thanks for the update - so if that happened and i pre ordered theres a good chance i'd have the board in my hands before the end of the month? Any idea what the inital stock level will be like - will you most likely have enough to cover any pre orders and have spare? I'm curious about the price too - is the price definite? and if i preorder and the price came down which would i pay? Only that some sites have the board pre order for around ~£20 less, but to be honest i wouldn't mind parting with the extra money to be sure of getting one (i don't exactly trust the other sites!) .

The Asus Rampage boards have already been ordered from our supplier and the Buy price fixed. I can assure you the Retail price will not change from this time to the time stock lands and your order ships. This would only happen if the Retail price was an estimate, which some Retailers will do so they can advertise a product well before it has actually been launched.
