    Question RMA Refund (Credit) or Replacement

    Hi,

    Just wanted to know what decides whether you get credit or a replacement when RMA'ing an item.

    I have recently submitted an RMA for my 6 month old XClio (rubbish) PSU that has died and would prefer to receive a credit so that I can order a more reliable Corsair PSU (VX450), from SCAN obviously.

    Re: RMA Refund (Credit) or Replacement

    the xclio is rubbish? i thought they were pretty good, hope mine doesnt go like that in a few months xD.

    I think you normally get a replacement but if you are really unhappy then you can ask for credit.

    I think you can request what you want, be it a replacement or refund.

    Re: RMA Refund (Credit) or Replacement

    I think the higher end XClio's are fine.

    But I got the 480W "Super Silent" Xclio PSU which is very loud and very average quality (died within 6 months) which i'm not too pleased about.

    I just don't want it happening again.

    In that case, I would like a refund/credit but on my RMA status I have been authorised for a replacement.

    Can this be changed?

    Thanks,

    Any reason as to why, as it seems that others have had the option?

    I'd really rather not get another XClio unit due to the problems of noise and unreliability.

    Fair enough, so there's no chance of a credit to spend at Scan on another (more expensive ) PSU?

    If not looks like I'll have to try and sell the XClio, anyone want it?

    No worries, however it does say in the terms:

    "we will refund the cost of the goods to you if returned within 28 days of the date of delivery;
    in any other case we will replace the goods or provide you with a credit for the cost of the goods."

    Re: RMA Refund (Credit) or Replacement

    Scan,

    I bought my whole system from you 6 months ago, on the basis that you had good customer service and that if anything went wrong, it'd get sorted...

    Now, basically I'm trying to give you money!

    If I can have a credit instead of a replacement, I'll be able to buy a more expensive PSU from you (plus a Zalman Fan Mate and probably a mouse mat which I've been meaning to get).

    It's win-win for everyone!

    Re: RMA Refund (Credit) or Replacement

    let me get this straight..

    I sent an email asking for an rma for my copperhead mouse with squeaky scroll wheel and i was told that i'd only be able to get a replacement. Should i be entitled to be offered credit too? I'd like to give the deathadder a shot.

    thanks
