There could be hundred's of theories as to how, what, why, when. Can we please just wait for XFX to get back to us with facts rather than guess work and we can move forward from there.

Tbh Jim i didnt make any allegations but yes I should of read what was there more carefully..but I notice you didnt point out what Blitzen put either.
AH well, we live and learn
Wow this is the first time I've heard of anyone having a fireball come out of the graphics card.
I would guess (and this is just a guess) at something stopping the fan on the card.
Unlucky.
Nope. For the first six months after purchase, statute says there is a presumption that the goods are faulty. It is therefore for the seller to prove they aren't. i.e. prove that "user error" claim.
Well, it would be a judge on the Small Claims track of the County Court, not a Magistrate, but my father-in-law was a Magistrate for some 26 years and he certainly had no problem programming his video.
But, as Wesley pointed out, it's being looked at. At this point, anything much else is speculation, and possibly unhelpful.
I agree. A fireball generally requires a highly volatile, usually organic vapour as fuel, or something containing an equivalent liquid. And even despite XFX's reputation (wish I'd known about that before I got an XFX!), I doubt they've started impregnating their cards with jellignite.
Unless of course there's a spot of exaggeration going on here.
Devilwolf,
I have a resolution for you, however, after ringing i understand you are a night worker. I will call you later this afternoon.

As with any company though it's all about talking to the right person.
I am holding off on anything, i just wanna know what happened and why we've been put to blame i am willing to wait its just what has been advised to me in regards to this situation
The contact you have probably and should be for my father (be warned he knows very little about PC's) as it was him that originally ordered the card on his credit card. My self am a day worker for a ISP and know its usually best to deal with the person who payed for the order (Usually again this from experience working for a ISP) in regards to refund/replacements etc
Tell me about it having to deal with BT daily is fun enough for me but what wound me up was the Customer service staff just seemed to have no clue what was going on with the order and wouldn't give us any further information on the problem other then its burntAs with any company though it's all about talking to the right person.
But the nice ppl on this forum are doing a excellant job and look forward to getting a resoltion regarding this matter. If a member of Scan would rather speak to me, then i can PM them my home number but bewarned i work weird and wonderful shifts so it would probably best using the contact you have for this order
Lol you have 30 days to register your graphics card your we blow it up....I doubt they've started impregnating their cards with jellignite.
Thank you all
