What a t*t!
Ordered two seagate drives from scan (brilliant service, plus the prices were dirt cheap! ) last week, just began assembling my new system and realised i've ordered IDE drives instead of SATA
Worse still, my nephew grabbed one and opened it for me! So that rules doing anything with that one, but am i able to return the sealed one for a swap?

By saying "he opened it", I think he's referring to the packaging not the hdd itself...

Just in case you do get stuck with one..... HERE and HERE may help

but its a case of "see what scan reckon on monday", they may decide to accept them both.... (i've seen it in other threads where people have inadvertantly ordered the wrong things and opened them)

If scan cant accept it back just sell it for a small loss and get the sata drive you wanted.

They will probably be good about it, you will have to send them back at your own expense though.

Was expecting them to tell me hop on my bike, but Micheal contacted me, said no worries about returning both of them (including the one with an open static bag) for a refund......absolute brilliant!!
